Are you serious posting this kind of link on your 'Home Page'? Kind of detracts from any credibility the as yet new' Horserush may to date have earnt. Aside from a bad and very amateur website where cost is obviously an inhibiting factor, the posting of very bad 'You Tube' clips (with an equally as bad cast), it smacks of the Millennium Bug crap that had everyone (even those that should have known better) running for ultimate coverage. Now the Millennium Bug happened 99/2000 and here we are in 2008, almost a decade later, with additional long and monotonous clips of badly presented and monotonous people, spouting their case with all the authority of those who'd know?????? Further, you have decided to plant it on your home page, giving even less credibility to Horse Rush than I had before. I have only visited the site and 'signed up' out of pure curiosity and my first visit left me less than impressed - my second visit leaves me stabbing at the 'Home' key in pure frustration at the content. An absolute crock, especially with new added video clips of badly dressed, badly spoken and hard-to-understand allternates explaining why 2012 marks another damned Millenium Bug. For farks sake, ditch the crappy You Tube videos and get some content that interests the visitors. They are primarily horse lovers and most don't give two shits if their internet dives in another 4 years time!!! Those are the beliefs of a bunch of folk who haven't got anything better to do with their time other than sit and speculate on the state of the ISP provider in another four years time, then film it, then take the time to post it to You Tube. Most that visit your site are there to explore the equine world in all its forms, not be bombarded with crap like you have sitting on your home page. Whoever reads this, who cares - you've mistaken me for one who gives a f*** and if you choose to respond then I probably won't read it as I ain't visiting this site again. I've had it with 'barefoot trimmers' that promise the world and preach to all and sundry and then don't deliver the most important ingredient of all - 'after sales service' - cos they've moved on to bigger, better and more commercially viable things. Kind of makes a mockery of the whole Horse Rush thing methinks!

Hi Deb

Point taken on the You Tube stuff had a look at it and looked like all porn so we removed it. Instead we have created a Digg latest pet stories box. On the Horse Rush side this website is new but the show has been on since 2002. I wonder who has upset you in regards to the barefoot trimming thing. Anyone I would know???

Further more the horserush website is www.horserush.com, this site was put up for horse owners to show off their horses and talk to like minded people. I am sorry you feel that way about Horse Rush and of course everything always comes down to money. Like Joe says you give me more money and I will give you a great show. I do hope you come back and visit I had a look at your profile and you have a great business and family you should be happy you have alot going for yourself. I do hope you find a barefoot trimmer your happy with. It's hard at first and I have been very fustrated at the quality of service trimmers and farriers provide. After a few years of searching I am now happy with my trimmer and have empowered myself by learning the basics meaning I dont have to rely on the trimmers and farriers as much as I have in the past. Maybe you should consider an intro course as it was the best thing I have done this year.

Kind Regards Tatiana...
Hi Tatiana,
Thank you for your reply. I was a little pissed that having very little 'down' time to visit sites of interest (since I spend the greater part of my day working, as most of us do I suppose), I got an email from Horserush and clicked to take a quick visit of the link as a welcomed break from my work. I did enjoy my visit the first time but this time, the You Tube clip on the home page irked me so much I never stayed to search the site any further. I simply had to vent after that!
As far as barefoot trimming, I dare say it probably is someone you know! I have done a few clinics and do actually trim myself now through necessity. I have found my horses all better off for being barefoot, however there is very little in the way of support down the track, since trimmers (qualified ones that are able to advise and rectify errors made by the inexperienced among us) are thin on the ground. I was pretty pissed when I was left high and dry by my regular trimmer, especially since it was they that suggested barefoot in the first place but....I digress. There is a wealth of information available via the net etc and I have taken advantage of this to try and learn and teach myself further. A slow process, but since I have a handful of horses all with difficult feet, it's a slower process to get on top of this when you're a beginner. I would have appreciated the ongoing assistance of my original trimmer but it was not to be - I was left on my own and my original trimmer disappeared up his own backside instead! I almost considered going back to a conventional farrier except the results I had seen from barefoot deterred me from this. I did however get some great tips from conventional farriers inasfar as technique etc, so they aren't all bad!
Anyway, I vented, you responded, I thank you and now I'll sign off. Please though, ditch the crappy You Tube videos - they don't lend any credibilty to your site, especially with that kind of material. Trimming techinques yes, speculation on internet crashes four years down the track, a resounding NO! Nothing to do with the price of fish in Japan, least of all an equine site!
Hi Deb,

I hope you stay with us at least and if only to plug your business. The trimmer and farrier shortage is a nightmare. I cried for weeks when i had a bad trim done on my horse by a so called expert that was not qualified to trim but was recommended. Need I say there are alot of nightmare trimming stories out there and I know heaps of horse owners who revert to shoeing as its to hard to deal with. My trimmer has now become so busy its hard to even get him on the phone so I did a intro course with them that was great. I use the DVD as back up to remind myself how to trim. My mare is a bit of a problem and I dont have the courage to trim her back feet so I still need a trimmer to check her every few weeks it is such a problem especially if you have a few problem horses. I spoke to my trimmer recently about all the issues above and I was assured he would pass on a recommended apprentice. So I will let you know how it all goes.

By the way I did not get to thank you for your feedback. Any feedback is great. What trimming clips do you want to see on the site??? I will see if i can get something happening.

Thanks TAT
