DESCRIPTION:On the 30th of August the Coalition for the Protection of 
 Racehorses will be holding a rally at Sandown Racecourse where the Gra
 nd National Steeple and Hurdle races are to be held. Last year the Gra
 nd National Hurdle ended in tragedy with only 4 out of the 13 horses f
 inishing the race, and two horses being killed on the track.\n\nA rall
 y will be held on the day to show that jumps racing is not wanted in A
 ustralia – it is blatant animal cruelty and it must be stopped. Vict
 oria and South Australia are the only two states that still continue w
 ith jumps racing. It is legalised cruelty and we must show the Victori
 an Government that we won't accept animal cruelty in our state.\n\nAlr
 eady in 2009, 12 horses have been killed in jumps racing. People who '
 love their horses' threatened to shoot them and cut their heads off wh
 en jumps racing was at risk of being banned in May after 3 horses died
  at the Warrnambool carnival. This treatment of animals cannot continu
